We have an exciting new opportunity in Harford County as an immediate need for a Quality Control Supervisor. This is a Direct Hire and Manufacturing experience is required.
The Quality Control Supervisor will lead the quality control efforts related to raw materials, in-process, and finished products. This is a high-profile position, reporting to the Quality Manager, overseeing our Quality Policy to assure the highest level of quality in every aspect of our business to provide our customers with the critical products required for their operations. This person will oversee all QC Inspection personnel and activities, implement policies and procedures, act as the liaison between QC, QA, Production operations, and the Management Team
Successful candidate will have strong leadership and mentoring skills; the ability to motivate and develop employees; excellent communication skills; the ability to interact with a wide variety of people; experience with Lean/Six-Sigma tools; excellent problem solving skills (Root Cause/Corrective Action). We prefer prior experience in a high volume manufacturing facility and three to five years of progressively responsible related experience.
Working hours: M-F 8am-5pm
--Prior supervisory experience in a high volume manufacturing environment.
--Prior experience with Quality Control and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
--Three to five years of related experience with progressively responsible supervisory experience in a QC environment.
--Strong leadership, organizational, and mentoring skills.
--Excellent customer service and strong written and verbal communication skills.
--Ability to interact with a wide variety of people.
--Excellent problem solving skills.
--Interviewing and hiring prospective new employees.
--Train employees in company systems, policies, and procedures.
--Plan, assign, and direct work efforts of the Quality Control department personnel.
--Perform effective performance appraisals of Quality Control department personnel.
--Participate in reward or discipline employees, address complaints, and resolve employee-related
--Train Quality Control department personnel in company systems, policies, and applicable procedures.
--Ensure compliance to company policies, systems and procedures.
--Track and maintain Key Performance Indicators
--Efficient utilization of the Quality Control department personnel.
--Organize, prioritize work, and schedule time to accommodate work demands, turn-around time, and company commitments.
--Provide Quality Control department personnel with necessary supplies.
--Enforce company attendance policy with Quality Control department personnel.
