Construction Project Site Supervisor opening at a Federal Facility located in the Jacksonville, FL area. This is a 12 to 18 month contract opportunity responsible to assist the Project Manager for all on-site activities and the safe construction of all phases of implementing energy conservation measures project to include HVAC, electrical, power generation, steam, chilled water, hot water, control design, and mechanical systems. Local candidates or those able to self relocate preferred.

Responsibilities for the Superintendent

  • Assists PM to schedule and manage pre-construction meetings, subcontractor meetings

  • Oversee equipment installation, keep projects running on schedule, coordinate with other subcontractors, order inspections, and resolve conflicts in design

  • Monitor quality and safety of the subcontractors on various sites, adhering to OSHA standards

  • Work daily with customer and subcontractors to resolve unforeseen issues with the project

  • Create substantial completion and final completion documentation, and coordinate and manage meetings for ownership signature

  • Resolve punch list items upon project completion

  • Performs all duties as deemed necessary by Project Manager

Requirements for the Superintendent

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required (higher education is preferred)

  • 5+ years experience as a Construction Supervisor or Superintendent with commercial and industrial construction and renovation

  • OSHA 30 Hours Mandatory, Federal and State safety regulations experience is valued

  • Performance contracting experience with HVAC, electrical, power generation, steam, chilled water, hot water, control design, and mechanical systems is preferred

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and ability to interface effectively with a diverse workforce and customer base

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs and other computer programs

  • Demonstrated ability to compose and write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals; able to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
