Registration & Licensing is responsible for providing the necessary security registration and state insurance licensing administrative support to line of business. The contractor for this role is a key member of the team within Registration and Licensing. This position will be responsible for initial security registrations, registration transfers, continuing education, and registration amendments for over 30,000 registered representatives. The department is also responsible for issuing all production numbers and pool numbers for the LOB s. Additional responsibilities include responding to inquiries from the various lines of business, completing work and message queue items, and additional tasks as needed.

Principle responsibilities for this position include:

  • Processing amendments with the regulator including business and residential address updates, registration requests and communicating with our clients regarding registration requirements and status

  • Documenting the steps of the process and submitting initial applications which require the individual to confirm that multiple preliminary tasks have been satisfied

  • Ensuring appropriate documentation of actions taken to an individual s record have been completed to ensure we are filing in compliance with regulatory requirements

  • Maintaining individual registrations

  • Ensuring timely responses to inquiries and must meet team standards for deliverables

  • Identification of and participation in process improvement projects

  • Working with line of business and external partners on special projects

  • Frequent interaction with our clients (the firm s registered population) on a daily basis

We are looking for someone that can pick up the processes quickly with the ability to switch from task to task, write correctly, speak professionally, and has the ability to be able to detect that something might be wrong even if the procedure doesn t actually say to look at the specific item.


  1. College Degree with 1-3 years professional work experience

  2. Proficient with MS Word, Excel and Outlook

  3. Some Banking, Finance or Credit Risk experience preferred

  4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  5. Motivated and high energy level suitable for a very fast paced work environment

  6. Excellent attention to detail
