DescriptionThis is an intermediate level position with possibilities to move into various areas of the company; including

but not limited to Air and Ocean Operations, Business Development, Customs Brokerage. Duties and

responsibilities to include, but are not limited to:

-Customer Service and partnership with clients and coworkers located in Mexico

- Arrange for US export and work with ocean, air, and ground carriers

- Follow SLI (shipper's letter of instructions) and prepare documents and coordinate with internal

departments and

- Review Letter of Credit requirements as necessary

- Communicate with overseas offices, border brokers, and outside vendors to obtain information

necessary to service the shipment

- Book shipments with the carriers, negotiate rates to optimize profitability of the company

- Review and enter transportation details into internal computer systems, such as shipment details,

identification of appropriate air carrier or ocean vessel assignment, routing details based on origin and

destination, transit times, load or container equipment requirements, transport party information, etc.

- Work with Business Development team to review customer SOP and service requirements

- Address all customer inquiries and offer answers and solutions according to the guidelines

- Audit freight invoices before they are processed for payment

- Maintain SOP (standard operating procedures) and customer profiles including key contacts, special

requirements, and preferred routings/services/carriers.

- Maintain and review KPI (key performance indicators) to monitor carriers' performance

Working hours: M-F 8-5


Ideal Candidate must have these qualities:

-Minimum 1 year logistics/freight forwarding experience

-bilingual English and Spanish

-Knowledge of Mexico Trade Lanes is a plus

- Self-motivated with a positive attitude

- International minded - open to variety of cultures and countries

- Detail oriented, well organized and be able to multi-task

- Proficiency and/or Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks

- Excellent organizational, communication, and analytical skills

- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
