An American corporation that manufactures agricultural, construction, and forestry machinery, diesel engines, drivetrains (axles, transmissions, gearboxes) used in heavy equipment, and lawn care equipment is looking for a Facilities Engineer in the Horicon, WI area. This is a 3-year CONTRACT position. No per diem available. Primarily work 1st shift (6am-2:30pm), but may be the need to work on an off-shift to support production requirements; this could include weekends if absolutely needed.
Responsibilities for the Facilities Engineer
Will be performing some troubleshooting duties. Plans, coordinates and performs facilities project and maintenance engineering work for facility infrastructure , production equipment and processes of moderate to large scope.
Provides engineering design for the infrastructure for the facility, grounds and production equipment and processes through both internal and external resources. Projects are more complex and require integration and coordination of various engineering disciplines.
Provides project management of projects related to the facility infrastructure, production machines, equipment and processes that support the manufacturing and/or distribution operation. Projects are more complex and may integrate several areas of engineering and require limited management of outside design professionals and contractors.
Provides troubleshooting of the facility infrastructure and production equipment to support production, manufacturing, distribution and maintenance operations. Responds to critical production down situations affecting manufacturing and/or distribution operations.
Maintains project budget cost control on projects assigned through project cost control system for the unit. Assists in the identification and resolution of potential environmental, safety, ergonomic and health hazards. Researches market for qualified suppliers of materials and services.
Requirements for the Facilities Engineer
4-year Electrical Engineering degree with 5+ years of related electrical experience preferred, but minimum requirement is a high school diploma/equivalent with applicable certifications and electrical experience (5+ years). Candidates who have a journeyman s card could be strong candidates as well.
Knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems. Ability to read blue prints and experience with PLC programming. Logix 5000 and SAP systems experience preferred. Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, are required.
