10 years of IT and business / industry work experience
8 years overall experience with various software development methodologies and processes

Experience with independently transitioning software teams to a variation of Agile processes, as well as prior experience coaching and mentoring software teams on Agile transitions.

The Agile Coach is responsible for championing Agile across Global IT Technology and Engineering programs as well as business consumers. This position will help teams adopt Agile values, principles and best practices and will work across multiple teams to ensure consistency of approaches while encouraging teams locally to optimize and continually improve through the use of retrospectives. This position will participate as a collaborative partner and coach, participating in real-time to provide advice or assistance to teams and team members as they tackle and overcome difficult challenges.
The Agile Coach will be actively engaged with programs that are transforming from a traditional software delivery model to an agile delivery model, or a program that is looking to mature in their agile adoption. Projects range from custom software development to packaged software integrations/implementations. The scope of transformation ranges from individual teams to large programs/ portfolios that cross multiple delivery teams and business segments.
This position will determine how to mature our agile culture and process to best serve our current multi-enterprise, global organization. In addition, this position will be responsible for continual analysis and planning to ensure our agile practices are world class and are always aligned with our operating reality as well as longer term strategic vision.
The Agile Coach will collaborate with ScrumMasters, Product Owners, Development Leads and QA Leads in Scrum and other Agile techniques such as Kanban and provide ongoing agile training and mentoring on organizational best practices.
Train and Educate Colleagues on Agile principles and tools (30% of role)
Educate Global IT employees and key business clients on Agile principles, providing them with tools for implementing the process in their work.
Provide training session and teach skills that enable organization-wide adoption of Agile methodologies.
Provide hands-on Agile coaching to teams as well as product owners, ScrumMasters, managers and executives.
Encourage and champion performing software development using Kanban, XP and other Agile methodologies as appropriate.
Mentor Teams (30% of role)
Guide teams into Agile, providing employees with feedback and means of improvement, catalyzing organizational growth and answering questions.
Provide hands-on support to all employees, collaborating with individuals across widely varying levels and positions within the organization, leading teams toward further understanding and adoption of Agile as well as overall improvement.
Develop Agile Adoption Strategy (20% of role)
Design a multi-stage strategy for the organization adoption of Agile including the introduction of Agile; employee education approach; fostering teams and cultures that practice Agile; sustainment of Agile methodologies and continuous improvement.
Identify organizational impediments to successful Agile transformation by conducting Agile health checks to assess gaps. Work with leadership and Teams to create and execute effective strategies to successfully address gaps (including leading Agile Improvement Projects).
Implement Agile Methodology (20% of role)
Implement Agile process, principles and practices across all levels and teams within Global IT.
Create and champion techniques that increase collaboration, predictability, transparency and promote a culture of experimentation and innovation.
Partner with multiple Scrum teams to advance Agile skills and improve results
Continue to learn and implement industry best practices
Lead by example.
