Desired Skills and Experience:
Bachelor s Degree or equivalent experience, 10 or more years of related .net (ASP, VB, C#) experience;
Strong leadership and people management skills.
Exceptional people skills and ability to interface successfully with the customer.
Strong understanding of programming theory
Experience planning and successfully executing complex development projects
Experience with Scrum, Agile or similar methodology.
Experience with mobile development and MVC a plus.
This position will be 50% management/project management and 50% development
BS in CS or IT; Agile development experience, QA experience, ScrumMaster
- Oversee the planning and development of programming activities, applications systems and requirements standards for assigned areas, through best practices and the appropriate staffing and management of the technical team:
Ensures completion of feasibility studies, time and cost estimates and the establishment and implementation of new or revised applications systems and programs.
Responsible for planning and coordinating the processes required for the provision of user applications and systems necessary for business operations to be successful:
The manager must ensure the practices and procedures accepted as standard operating procedures are followed including the production of all required artifacts relating to the planning, development and testing of application systems.
The manager must capture and analyze the work performed by team members; working with management to establish achievable standards of service and measuring the team s performance against those standards.
Staffing - Manager must manage team s workload to insure team is staffed adequately to meet workload demands.
The manager should communicate to management the performance results along with an assessment of positive and negative trends.
The Manager should champion process improvements which assist team members in meeting the mission of the group and the overall department objectives.
- Develop short and long-term applications systems plans that are consistent with the needs and priorities of the business.
The manager must participate in the prioritization and resource commitment activities of the department taking responsibility for projects within their assigned area and accountability for meeting the project deliverables within agreed upon time frames.
The manager must maintain project plans for projects whenever a separate project manager is not assigned. These plans must adhere to accepted department requirements for tracking and reporting the project s status.
- Has responsibility for performance, development and coaching of staff (i.e. hiring, firing, performance management, salary increases, etc.)
Ensures new members of team/unit receive training - The manager is responsible to insure that team members are properly trained in the technologies employed by the group to accomplish their work.
The manager should assess skill gaps and implement plans to address these gaps through training and direct experience opportunities
The manager should insure that there is sufficient depth of knowledge across team members so the organization is at minimal risk if any individual is not available to address a problem.
The manager should insure team members participating in development or enhancement projects adequately represent the needs of the Data Management team for insuring data quality and adherence to best practices for data management.
The manager will assess individual team members, establishing objective measures and goals and meeting regularly in one-on-one meetings reviewing progress.
The manager will create development plans with each individual.

Actively participates in management meetings taking leadership roles where appropriate.
