DescriptionThe ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of maintenance experience, ideally in a high volume, fast paced manufacturing environment. A functional knowledge of lean manufacturing 5S is a plus. Supervisory experience is extremely desirable. Some of the key responsibilities of the job are: Develop and manage a maintenance program capable of ensuring 14 production lines are available and operational 24/7 Provide positive leadership and cooperation across departments Ensure all equipment is operational and safe to operate/ Develop a PM/Predictive Maintenance program for custom, specialized high-volume manufacturing equipment Ensure Preventive Maintenance program is followed, utilizing contractors, operations staff (equipment users), junior-level mechanics and/or temps/interns, as necessary. Proactively identify equipment and production tooling deficiencies, select and/or propose available options for resolving them, and implement solutions which prevent recurrence.Oversee/manage facility maintenance and repairs. Develop and manage multi-year service agreements (vendor management) for plant systems, such as compressed air systems, generators and utilities. This is the facility's senior maintenance position and will have the lead responsibility for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing custom built, specialized high volume production equipment. This position is also responsible for facility maintenance, oversight of projects such as equipment installations and managing key external service providers. Strong mechanical, electro-mechanical skills, highly functional electrical skills (220 3-phase, variable speed drives, and low-voltage) and working knowledge of PLC's
Must have a good working knowledge of industrial production equipment used in a high volume manufacturing environment. Ability to perform routine and non-routine fabrication and machining operations
Must be able to work with a variety of hand tools and power tools. Possess relevant mathematical skills and aptitude for understanding equipment specifications, blueprints and technical diagrams, as well as performing measurements, calibrations and equipment/tooling modifications. Ability to identify and attend appropriate training via seminars, equipment manufacturers or technical partners.
Must be able to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required. College Degree or Technical School Certification preferred. Will consider High School Diploma with relevant industry or equipment training.
