Growing company in the wine industry is looking for a candidate who is willing to work hard and enjoys being part of multi-functional team. We are growing rapidly and are looking for the right person to help us continue our expansion. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic and motivated, with strong materials management skills and an eye for detail. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of manufacturing planning experience, ideally in a high volume, fast paced environment. A background in lean manufacturing and just in time inventory management is a plus.
Some of the key responsibilities of the job are:
-Create and manage a master schedule for production and shipping;
-Create and manage daily and hourly machine/production-line specific schedules;
-Optimize production sequences and product runs to ensure maximized output;
-Establish fully functional schedule and plan via ERP system;
-Strong excel and ERP skills a must.
This is a new position. We are looking for a genuine out-of-the-box thinker, who can contribute to our vision development and then execute to plan. A hands-on, strategic thinker.
Working hours: Mon-Fri 8-5
-ERP proficiency, preferably with mid-size applications such as MS NAV; previous ERP-report writing and customization experience highly desirable.
-Microsoft Office proficiency, with an emphasis on Excel (macros, pivot-tables, etc.).
-Demonstrated ability to develop scalable materials, planning and scheduling policies and procedures.
-Working knowledge of Lean, Kaizen, Demand-flow, JIT, Visual Factory Management techniques.
-Experience implementing lean materials strategies highly desirable.
-Previous manufacturing-intensive start-up experience highly desirable
-Ability to work safely in a fast-paced industrial environment.
-Ability to work well with others and contribute to the organization s goals.
-Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, leads, supervisors and key staff.
-Solid written communication skills, including ability to write reports; create charts/data to support presentations; clear and effective use of internal/external e-mail.
-Ability to work in a warehouse; willingness to assist with movement of materials, including palletized product, as necessary.
-Occasional lifting of product/material may be required. Ability to safely lift up to 40 pounds.
-Ability to manage multiple demands at the same time.
-Substantial APICS/industrial planning/scheduling/logistics training required.
-2 year college degree required; 4 year degree preferred.
-Ability to pass a drug test.
