Sr. Credit Project Manager
The successful project manager candidate is results oriented with a proven track record of on-time and on-budget execution and delivery. The ideal candidate will combine knowledge of credit business best practices with experience in driving solutions through project lifecycles. The credit project manager will partner with business sponsors and cross-divisional business partners to drive initiative execution from discovery through closure.
Manage assigned initiatives and drive projects to timely implementations; analyze variances and initiate corrective action as needed
Lead efforts from requirements, analysis, project estimates and budgeting, through delivery
Conduct meetings with project teams to gather products, service and project requirements
Partner with business areas and Technology on initiatives to align project outcomes with strategic priorities and direction
Build and lead project teams, providing clear roles and responsibilities through all phases of the project lifecycle
Contribute to capacity planning, tracking and progress management against prioritized project portfolio
Manage project milestones and deliverables and provide initiative updates and status reporting
Meet ongoing and overlapping deadlines in a fast-paced environment by multi-tasking efficiently and coordinating dependencies with other groups
Identify, develop and drive execution of key risks and issues including contingency plans to maintain a high level of customer service while minimizing financial risks.
Manage department work effort forecasting, tracking and managing progress, scope and hours against project work plans
Bachelor s degree in business or technical related field and minimum of four years experience in project management; or equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience is required.
Working knowledge of project management best practices in SDLC methodologies is preferred; PMI certification preferred.
Experience in project integration, scope, schedule, cost, quality, communications, risk, and procurement management.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Project skills; working knowledge of SharePoint preferred.
Experience in credit, banking and/or financial services is preferred.
Ability to multi-task and drive multiple projects to on-time and on-budget completion while rapidly adapting to changes in priority.
Experience working within a release management strategy
Working knowledge of basic requirements documentation, quality and validation methods is preferred.
Ability to build strong relationships, gain confidence and effectively communicate and work with teams, business partners and external vendors is required.
