Leading Financial Services company in El Segundo is looking for an Associate HR Business Partner to be a key member of the HR Business Partner Team. Looking for a passionate HR professional with a strong attention to detail, good fundamental HR knowledge and an ability to handle sensitive HR situations appropriately with professionalism and discretion.

  • Process all daily HR employee system transactions including terminations, promotions, transfers, pay changes, etc.

  • Partner with leave administrator and payroll to ensure employees are set up correctly in HRIS system during leave and after their return from leave

  • Provide support and backup to the onboarding analyst; including reviewing background checks, answering candidate questions regarding the onboarding process and assisting with first-day tasks when necessary

  • Conduct exit interviews, compile data and partner with HR Business Partners to identify trends, issues or concerns

  • Provide coaching and support for new or struggling managers

  • Assist with handling general employee concerns or disputes to ensure an effective work environment

  • Assist with supporting manager on basic employee relations issues such as time and attendance, PTO issues or basic performance gaps

  • Partner with the HRBP to roll out performance content, training and support efforts in the business

  • Partner with recruiting to support the hiring process

  • Manage the HR Inbox and HR hotline and address or redirect general HR questions or inquiries

  • Maintain and update all Job Aides relevant to the core HR system

  • Provide general support for key HR cyclical events including open enrollment, comp cycle and performance cycle

  • Serve as a liaison to finance, facilities, technology, security and mangers to onboard associates and secure space, technology etc.

  • Identify and make recommendations for changes and enhancements to the HRIS system in order to improve user experience and functionality

  • Assist with Workman s Compensation claims


  • Min. 3-5 years of HR experience

  • Bachelor s Degree

  • Demonstrated discretion and ability to handle confidential information

  • General knowledge of labor laws, EEOC, employment policies and procedures, leave practices and employee relations best practices
