A well established company in the Greater Cranston Area is looking for a Warehouse Manager for their Team. The company is in the Manufacturing Industry and has been in business for over 90 Years. This is a newly created position due the vast growth the company has achieved. The Position will primarily be on 1st shift, but there will be overlap onto the 2nd shift as well. The position will challenge qualified candidates in leadership, detail and organizational skills, conceptual thinking, and employee development. Schedule: 7:30AM -- 4:00PM with 2nd shift responsibilities; Monday through Friday

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for the overall leadership of the Warehouse Operations. The Warehouse Manager utilizes well developed leadership and organizational skills to drive compliance with policies, procedures and best practices to ensure that safety, productivity, and efficiency goals are achieved, and with an eye towards continuous improvement. The Warehouse Manager functions as a mentor to supervisors and associates by facilitating development paths that promote cross training and bench strength building.
--Maintain adherence to best practice methodologies and technology as it relates to the operation of the warehousing function
--Meet financial objectives by forecasting expenses each period, preparing annual budget, analyzing variances, and taking corrective actions to stay on plan.
--Provide timely service to internal departments (i.e. production operations, customer service, finance, sales, etc.) while minimizing warehouse and production costs
--Develop strategies to improve cycle count performance, stock check accuracy, and the reduction of inventory adjustments
--Monitor quality and performance metrics, drive improvement, motivate teams to meet performance goals
--Experience with computer based inventory control systems
--Proven ability to multi task, prioritize and delegate tasks in a fast-paced distribution facility environment
--Ability to forecast and manage a department budget within company guidelines
--A history of effective leadership, conflict management and decision making
--Ability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings and/or weekends
--High level of professionalism and attention to detail; Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills; verbal and written communication skills
--Basic knowledge of 5S and Lean Six Sigma tools
-- Bachelor's degree required
--5-10 years of Warehouse and/or Logistics leadership experience, including several years of high volume distribution
