Randstad Professionals has a six month contract position available with a large financial institution in uptown Charlotte for a Capital Markets Credit Risk Consultant. The primary responsibility of the position is to perform complex analysis with risk data, and create and analyze reports that present data in an easily understandable format. Strong data analysis skills using Excel, as well as strong SQL programming skills are required. Monitoring data quality, investigating variances and providing succinct root cause analysis is an integral part of the role.
This position is in the Risk Reporting team of Credit Risk Management. The group is responsible for collection, consolidation, and distribution of trade, position, and other reference data that is captured by systems of record for the various traded products across multiple divisions. It is also responsible for providing reports for lines of business, senior management and regulatory agencies.
This position will be primarily responsible for developing reports for a critical enterprise wide regulatory effort using various tools like Microsoft Reporting Services, SQL Server, Micro Strategy and Excel.
The primary focus of this role is concentrated on Report Implementation and Development, where a strong technical aptitude for writing SQL code, developing reports and understanding database concepts is required. Ability to understand business concepts, analyze data and attention to detail are essential.
Qualifications: 3+ years trading or desk analyst/capital markets experience. Strong working knowledge of databases (SQL Server, Oracle, Access or any other database system). - Familiarity with financial instruments and an understanding of capital markets. - Understanding of credit or market risk concepts and best practices. - Excellent written and verbal communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills with a high level of attention to detail. - Ability to work independently and develop strong relationships with team members.
