The Systems Administrator will support a Microsoft-centric computing environment consisting of Windows 2008/2012 servers. This position will report to the Director of IT Infrastructure.
Monitor and respond quickly and effectively to requests received through calls and helpdesk ticketing system.
Conduct routine scheduled preventative maintenance on hardware.
Install, maintain and upgrade Server level software.
Assist in maintaining data backup and protection environments.
Heavily involved in data management issues and responsibilities.
Import, export and archive e-mail related management tasks.
Move mailboxes, create and manage lists, and assign mailbox permissions on the Exchange Servers.
Handle routine systems administration and maintenance to support an Active Directory environment.
Produce relevant systems documentation for configurations and related processes.
Provide timely and effective support for servers and infrastructure during business hours as well as after-hours, as needed.
Support problems with Outlook 2010 on Windows 7/10.
Assume additional responsibilities as requested.
Bachelor s degree required.
1-3 years of experience in a Microsoft environment.
3+ years of experience working in an IT support environment.
Experience with HP Insight Manager, Microsoft System Center, Microsoft Exchange 2013 support knowledge, Citrix, Microsoft Endpoint Protection, Dell Equallogic Storage, HP Proliant Servers, Exagrid backup solutions, Symantec backup solutions, and powershell scripting is a plus.
Some technical experience working with Windows server computer systems, local area networks, Microsoft Windows Server, and Exchange 2007/2013.
Solid organizational, communication and customer service skills a must.
Must possess above average analytic abilities along with a strong technical aptitude.
Ability to prioritize workload effectively, and work independently with little supervision.
Ability to work in a diverse, sometimes rapidly changing environment.
Task, team and deadline oriented.
Must have excellent interpersonal skills and work well with others.
Must be self-motivated, a fast learner, dedicated to producing quality work and bringing assigned tasks and projects to completion.
Ability to provide on-call and off hours support.
