This role is tasked with implementing best financial practice in the US. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop the accounting and reporting function but initially focus will be on ensuring accurate data entry and ensuring the transactional information is correct and the Balance Sheet is reconciled. The individual will therefore be accountable for the integrity of the data used for group reporting as well as compliance with finance and accounting regulations.

Key duties and responsibilities
Responsible for all accounting transactions
Processing and reconciling accounts receivable and payable - including key account management
Processing and reconciling cash and bank items
Ensuring all employee expenses are recorded, within policy and paid promptly.
Provide day to day support for all local month and year end requirements,
Assist in the accurate production and submission of the group reporting pack and financial accounts.
Preparing all Balance sheet reconciliations, fixed assets and statutory returns.
Reconciliation and ensuring prompt payment of Tax accounts.
Reconciliation and ensuring prompt payment of Payroll.
Liaising with the Corporate to ensure the InterCompany Account is promptly reconciled and reflected in the US Accounts.
Preparing regular cash forecasts and managing funding
Assisting with the Global Inventory control process
Develop better use of the SAP Business by Design accounting and ERP system.
All other duties assigned by management
Skills and Experience
Experience in a fast-paced results-oriented environment
Experience of stock/inventory accounting and policies is desirable
Prior experience working a multinational reporting environment is desirable
Experience of working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
High degree of competency in excel and experience of integrated financial systems (ERPs) and preferably SAP by Design
Ability to work effectively at speed and under pressure, whilst maintaining attention to detail
Must be detail oriented, organised, self-motivated, conscientious, proactive and have the ability to work to deadlines in a global environment
Professional business acumen and diplomacy skills, as well as effective verbal, written and presentation skills
Excellent organizational and time management skills with ability to manage and meet tight deadlines enthusiastically

BS in Accounting or Finance
3+ years coeporate accounting experience
Worked with a fully integrated ERP, SAP by Design preferred but not essential
Proficient in Excel, Microsoft Word and computer use
