DescriptionPurpose of the Role:
EMD Serono is seeking a Special Projects Coordinator to provide administrative support within the Global Clinical Development organization. The Special Projects Coordinator is a high energy and proactive individual with highly effective project management skills and capability of supporting a global team and managed by Human Resources, with minimal supervision. The role includes managing administrative and project based tasks in addition to other priorities in a confidential, proactive, professional and detailed manner. The ideal candidate is an ambitious, self-starter who can proactively anticipate needs before they are articulated and who can solve problems quickly, efficiently and with limited direction.
Expectations & Responsibilities:
Proactive approach to organizing, planning and managing a multitude of varied requests related to Clinical Development programs. There will be variable peak workloads, time zones and possible working hours and ability to effectively work in a high pressure, fast-paced environment. Ability to create, edit and improve presentation materials or documents with guidance from Global Clinical Development team member and/or Human Resources. This includes but is not limited to org charts, obtaining historical job descriptions, e-learning data, and other. Organization of these data for future reference is critical. Efficient and effective organization of all materials, correspondence, files, etc., so latest versions, timelines and context are findable and accurate. Manage multiple related requests for the project simultaneously, and prioritize effectively. Complete ad hoc projects, as assigned.
Working hours: 8:30-5:00PM
Bachelor's degree with 2-4 years' experience and demonstrated leadership ability. Prior internship experience in pharmaceutical company, biotech, or related industry is helpful, but not required. Advanced working knowledge of MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio is required. Strong interpersonal skills; position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy. Must be able to interact and communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization and across cultures. Confident, self-starter who can work well with minimum supervision and strong attention to detail in composing and proofing materials, establishing priorities, scheduling and meeting deadlines. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to simultaneously manage multiple competing priorities, tasks and demands. Must be flexible in handling multiple tasks of a different nature and have the ability to prioritize efficiently, while being a problem solver who is quick to figure solutions and make things happen.
