Our Direct Hire Technology Practice is currently searching for a Manager of Information Security to join a company in the Bethesda, MD area. This is a FTE career opportunity.
This Manager of Information Security will be responsible for the creation and implementation of security policies that will continuously improve the security posture of all aspects of Information Security, including physical, network, application and database security. This is a hands on/leadership role in a mid-size enterprise organization.
Job Requirements: Candidates should understand and have a proven track record with:
BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience
Minimum 7 years working in an Information Security role
Experience with highly sensitive data and meeting State and Federal guidelines
CISM, CISSP or CISA certification highly preferred
Demonstrable knowledge of applicable data privacy standards, practices and laws, including NIST 800-53 rev 4, FERPA, HIPPA, etc.
Experience successfully designing and completing a plan to meet an audit (such as SOC 2, or audits targeted to NIST 800-53 rev 4)
Must possess a thorough knowledge of trends and best practices for all aspects of IT security - including secure application development, network security, cloud information security, and risk management
Must possess an understanding of risks and risk mitigation strategies for SaaS products
Proven ability to educate and influence outcomes with peers and senior leadership
Proven ability to drive results through cross functional and matrixed teams
