The Client: Our client is a $1B+ publicly traded service organization that has doubled their number of employees from 29,000 to over 60,000 in the past 8 years.
The Position: Benefits Manager
Management of the health and wellness benefit plans for a large employee population that spans over 48 states and parts of Canada
Manage the processing of items related to employee benefits, ACA Compliance and Cobra - this position will work closely with the Payroll department.
Ensure compliance to federal state and local laws, and be familiar with Union contracts and how they impact benefit programs that are offered to those employees.
Work with employees responding to questions for benefits
Responsible for enrollment and educating new employment of benefit programs.
Assist in the review and administrating of 650 different union collective bargaining agreements.
Handle reporting to the department of labor, ACA compliance, and unemployment compensation etc....
Bachelors degree in HR, Business Administration or Related business major.
3-5 years professional work experience in a HR capacity for an organization with over 5000 employees.
SPHR, PHR CEBS designation is preferred
Exposure to various types of benefit plan structures, including: Self-Insured, Stop Loss, Fully Insured, and other related plan types.
Review, understand, and implement new changes to collective bargaining agreements and how they impact customer contracts.
