SENIOR FINANCIAL ANALYST
Sets up and maintains process to accurately compile, distribute and provide ongoing analysis of financial performance via period/quarterly/annual financial analysis reports.
Prepares monthly financial reports, P&L narratives, and scorecards for management and internal team.
Provides on-going and ad hoc analysis and summaries of financial performance against key business metrics and document pertinent financial highlights that will enable management to determine progress against budgets/forecasts.
Works closely with cross functional teams to gather and analyze relevant information in order to present insightful findings, analyses, and recommendations to management.
Communicates with accounting staff, field operations support and senior management to insure that reports are timely and accurate.
Documents processes, makes recommendations, and assist in systems/process improvements to enhance overall financial reporting accuracy and speed.
Assists in the month-end close process as a first level reviewer of journal entries and month-end reconciliations.
Budgeting and Forecasting
Participates in the annual budgeting process which includes the preparation of detailed income and expense budgets at the unit level and other key metrics.
Assists in the preparation of budgets and forecasting, uploading budgets and forecasts to financial reporting software.
Develops comprehensive financial models outside of planning model to evaluate performance against strategic initiatives.
Conceptualizes and builds automated financial models with appropriate documentation to enhance business decision making and identify new business opportunities.
Identifies, makes recommendations and implements improvements to the planning process.
Experience, Education and Certifications:
Undergraduate degree in Finance or Accounting (or related field); MBA desired and/or CPA preferred.
A minimum of three years experience of progressive experience in financial planning & analysis and reporting.
Knowledge and Skills:
Possesses a high degree of drive and ability to produce results and accomplish goals in a fast-paced, changing work environment.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with sensitive deadlines and changing environment.
Advanced analytical skills and ability to work with unstructured data
Understand complex financial modeling concepts such as ROI, NPV and DCF and able to articulate how different financial components impact business results
Attention to detail with a focus on quality and continuous improvement.
Research and problem solving skills combined with strategic thinking that includes business acumen.
Communication skills that clearly deliver intended message (written, verbal and presentations).
Ability to build trust and effective working relationships across various teams
Ability to work in complex financial data cubes and build relevant reports.
Ability to build, organize and retrieve reports across multiple financial reporting tools and systems; ability to utilize multi-dimensional database software
Knowledge of all MS Office products with advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint and demonstrated experience building complex financial models including pivot tables and look ups
