Summary/Objective The Lean Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for assisting in the research, development and implementation of production system strategy. A leader in the implementation of best practices, the Lean Manufacturing Engineer will ensure adherence to the principles of lean manufacturing and the planning/facilitation of strategic plans, Kaizen workshops, and other lean activities.

Coach and train associates in lean manufacturing and problem-solving principles.
Utilize lean techniques to streamline manufacturing processes and initiatives.
Support C-Level leadership in driving continuous improvement projects, executing transformation plans and product development projects
Develop Continuous Improvement Teams to assist with the facilitation of strategic business initiatives.
Other duties/projects as assigned.

Work Environment This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filings cabinets and fax machines. Also while performing duties in this role, employees are exposed to fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, sharp objects, equipment and vibration while in the manufacturing environment. The noise level in the environment can be loud.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 5:00pm.
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor s degree in Business, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering or other comparable engineering degree; MBA strongly preferred
10+ years in a high volume manufacturing environment
Lean/Six Sigma Certification - Master Black Belt strongly desired
